Find Out What You're Actually Owed

Faulty products, dead warranties and unclaimed credits, and the case you should be making.

Companies are counting on you not bothering.

The blender died at 14 months. The store said 12-month warranty, you said fine, and you bought a new blender. In Australia that was probably wrong, and it cost you $180.

Most people don't get what they're owed because they don't know the shape of the argument. Not because they're timid. You can't ask confidently for something you're not sure exists.

I've clawed back a few hundred dollars this year doing exactly this. It takes about 10 minutes per thing.

The prompts

1. Start here

Tells you what you can actually ask for.

The entitlement prompt
I bought [item] from [retailer] on [date] and [what went wrong]. Explain what I'm likely entitled to under Australian Consumer Law and what I should be asking for specifically.

2. Go deeper

Builds the case in the order it should be made.

The case-builder prompt
Give me the 4 points to make when I contact them, in order, plus exactly what to say if they offer a store credit instead of a refund.

3. Bonus

Finds the money you forgot about entirely.

The forgotten-money prompt
Now ask me 5 questions to find other things I'm probably owed and haven't claimed: warranties, unused credits, price protection, rebates, forgotten deposits.

Bonus: Make it yours

Not in Australia? Swap in your country and Claude works from the right consumer law.

This gives you the shape of your case, not a legal ruling. Check the specifics with the retailer or your consumer regulator before you go in hard.

Do this today: think of one thing that broke too early and you let go. Start there.
